An “Awards Banquet” is held each year in February/March to recognize outstanding Angling Achievement and membership involvement. This is the highlight of the year for all angling clubs. Hal Goodman, manages our awards system and maintains our Club Awards Catch Table. We recognize our members achievement when they catch a fish weighing or measuring in at a minimum of 75% of that states citation program size requirement. Award Entry Forms are to be filled out and turned in at each meeting, thereby recognizing our members for their achievement. This process is the basis for determining what awards we pass out at our annual Awards Banquet. [Note that you can view and subsequently print our Award Entry Form and Club Awards Catch Table by clicking on the documents below.]
Last year we offered Fisherman of The Month, Fisherman of the Year, and Member of the Year Awards.
We have added several new fishing awards this year. This year we will also have awards for: female angler of the year, youth angler of the year, inshore slam angler winner, and offshore slam angler winner. Our "Inshore Grand Slam" award requires catching 3 of the following four species: bluefish (18"), flounder (15"), trout (14"), and red drum 18-27"). Our offshore slam angler award requires that a legal size Dolphin, Cobia and Amberjack be caught [must catch all three species].
