Chamber welcomes Outer Banks Anglers Club
The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the Outer Banks Anglers Club. The club was formed for the entertainment and education of members to promote safety, good fellowship and true sportsmanship among all anglers.
They are concerned with the promotion of legislation, customs and practices for the protection, propagation and conservation of fish and other marine creatures and their habitats. Most recently they have secured a government grant to construct a new offshore artificial reef near Oregon Inlet.
The club's board of directors includes Paul Anderson, treasurer; Joey Koerperich, vice president; secretaries Linda and Tony Lombardi; and President Alan Buchfuhrer.
